Child and Family Safety Policy

Effective Date: June 4, 2026

Kodiak Connect is planning Family Accounts and child account controls. These features are not currently live.

1. Current Child Account Status

Family Accounts, child account management, parent approval tools, risky chat alerts, and child safety controls are planned future features.

Until those tools and proper parent or guardian consent flows are available, children under 13 should not create independent Kodiak Connect accounts.

2. Planned Family Account Direction

Kodiak Connect plans to support parent or guardian-managed accounts that may allow a Head of Family or parent account to:

Create or invite child accounts.
Approve or manage access to spaces.
Manage privacy and safety defaults.
Review or receive safety alerts.
Manage contacts and safer account settings.

These features may change before release.

3. Parent and Guardian Responsibility

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for supervising children who use Kodiak Connect through current or future family tools.

Parents or guardians should contact support@kodiak-connect.com if they believe a child has created an account without proper permission.

4. Child Safety Rules

Kodiak Connect strictly prohibits:

Child exploitation.
Grooming or attempts to manipulate minors.
Sexual content involving minors.
Harassment, threats, coercion, or abuse of minors.
Sharing private information about minors without proper authority.
Using Kodiak Connect to contact minors for harmful purposes.

5. Reports and Enforcement

Kodiak Connect may remove content, restrict accounts, preserve evidence, or report child-safety concerns to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.

6. Parent Privacy Requests

A parent or guardian may contact support@kodiak-connect.com to request help reviewing, deleting, or restricting a child-related account or information.

We may need to verify identity and authority before acting on the request.

7. Changes

This policy will be updated before Family Accounts or child account features go live.
