Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Kodiak Connect, including the public website, beta app, messaging features, and related services operated by Kodiak Holdings.

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Kodiak Connect, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Beta Service
Kodiak Connect is in active beta. Features may change, break, be removed, or be limited. The service may be interrupted or unavailable. Beta access does not guarantee permanent access, data retention, or availability of any feature.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your account and anything that happens through it. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
You may not create accounts for abuse, impersonation, spam, evasion of moderation, or illegal activity.
4. Age and Family Accounts
Kodiak Connect is not currently intended for independent account creation by children under 13.
Family Accounts and child account controls are planned future features. Once those features are available, a parent or legal guardian may create, approve, or manage child accounts as allowed by the family tools and applicable law.
A parent or guardian who creates or manages a child account is responsible for supervising that child’s use of Kodiak Connect.
5. User Content
You are responsible for messages, files, media, profile information, and other content you submit or share.
You represent that you have the rights needed to share your content. You grant Kodiak Connect the limited rights needed to host, transmit, display, store, moderate, and operate the service.
6. Acceptable Use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. You may not use Kodiak Connect to harass, exploit, threaten, abuse, spam, impersonate, distribute malware, violate law, or share illegal or harmful content.
7. Moderation and Enforcement
Kodiak Connect may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, or take other action when we believe the service is being misused or policies are being violated.
We may also preserve or disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary for safety, security, or abuse prevention.
8. Planned Business Features
Business Accounts, paid workspaces, meetings, admin tools, and related paid features are planned future features and may not be available yet.
If paid services are launched, additional payment, billing, cancellation, and business terms may apply.
9. No Payments Currently
Kodiak Connect does not currently collect payments through the public website or beta app. Future paid services may be added with updated terms.
10. Third-Party Services
Kodiak Connect may rely on third-party providers for hosting, email, storage, security, updates, or other service functions. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies.
11. Intellectual Property
Kodiak Connect, the Kodiak Connect name, branding, interface, website design, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Kodiak Holdings. You may not copy, modify, misuse, or claim ownership of Kodiak Connect branding or software except as allowed by law or written permission.
12. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on Kodiak Connect infringes your copyright, contact support@kodiak-connect.com with enough detail for us to review the claim.
13. Termination
You may stop using Kodiak Connect at any time. Kodiak Connect may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, or misuse the service.
14. Disclaimers
Kodiak Connect is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kodiak Connect and Kodiak Holdings will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruptions.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms as Kodiak Connect changes. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
